Dr. Don Ryan Duff is a highly respected kidney specialist with over thirty-five years of experience in nephrology. Dedicated to patient-centered care, he has received multiple Louisville Top Doc awards and the prestigious Making Lives Better Award from the National Kidney Foundation.

An alumnus of the University of Virginia and the University of Louisville School of Medicine, Dr. Duff has been at the forefront of nephrology, establishing dialysis units, expanding practices, and advocating for patient care and transplant opportunities. He played a key role in establishing the UK Transplant Program in Louisville and has served as Medical Director at over twenty facilities. A former President of the Medical Staff at Norton Audubon Hospital, he has been on its executive board for over two decades.

Dr. Duff founded and expanded The Kidney Specialists of Kentuckiana and Pure Life Renal Dialysis Center. In 2025, he merged his practice with Bluegrass Kidney Consultants to further advance kidney care.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Duff enjoys horse racing, sports, classic movies, and spending time with his family and patients.
